Angel powered by Brave
Angel, powered by Brave, represents a significant milestone in personal safety technology, particularly targeting the needs of young women. This innovative app was a flagship product of my tech startup, BravePay, before we pivoted towards Fintech and Blockchain services. Founded in 2019, BravePay was at the forefront of combining technology with practical solutions to everyday problems.
The concept behind Angel was straightforward yet powerful: to provide a voice-activated personal safety assistant right on the user's smartphone. In situations of danger or distress, users could activate an alarm by simply pronouncing a predetermined panic word. Once activated, Angel would immediately geo-locate the user and send notifications to pre-selected emergency contacts as well as the relevant emergency services.
This app was particularly relevant and timely, given the increasing concerns over personal safety in urban environments. It addressed a critical need, offering peace of mind and a sense of security to its users, especially in scenarios where manually activating an alarm might not be feasible.
Creating the commercial for Angel was a unique challenge, given the modest budgets typically associated with startups. This constraint, however, did not hinder creativity but rather fueled it. The promotional video was tailored for maximum impact on social media platforms and at startup events and competitions, where it was essential to stand out.
The video not only showcased the functional capabilities of the Angel app but also highlighted its ease of use and immediate response features. It demonstrated how technology could be a powerful ally in ensuring personal safety, especially for vulnerable demographics. The commercial was also a testament to my ability to adapt creative concepts to limited budgets, ensuring that the message was both powerful and cost-effective.
Through Angel, BravePay showed that technological innovation could have a profound impact on personal well-being and safety. The development and promotion of Angel underscored the startup's commitment to addressing real-world issues with smart, user-friendly solutions
